The Center for Community and Ethnic Media at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY will hold a forum with five of the candidates for NYC Public Advocate. During the 90-minute event, the candidates will highlight their programs and visions and answer questions. (The special election for NYC Public Advocate is being held on Feb. 26.)

Invitations to the forum were extended to the candidates based on the top names selected by journalists from the community and ethnic media in a survey.

About Newsmakers Series

Newsmakers Q&As are on-the-record conversations of public officials with journalists from the city’s very diverse community and ethnic media. The series, a signature program of the Center for Community and Ethnic Media, aims to increase coverage in this media of the City Council and government agencies and departments, as well as foster better communication and promote civic engagement.
