The Center for Community and Ethnic Media and the New York Immigration Coalition jointly organized a panel at the National Immigrant Integration Conference on December 13, 2015.

The panel — Words Matter: Speaking Out Through Media — was aimed at giving the conference attendees a sense of what the current media landscape is as pertaining to immigrants and immigration. How are reporters reporting on immigration? How has reporting on immigration changed over the last decade?  How has the social media influenced the ability to “create our own” media?
